The K J Somaiya Hospital and Research Centre serves as a teaching hospital for the medical college while providing state of the art healthcare facilities to all sections of the society at affordable costs. Various schemes including those for BPL and EWS patients and the MJPJAY are also implemented by the hospital.
The hospital offers the following services
OPD services
OPD services are available for all clinical specialties from Monday to Saturday and are manned by qualified and experienced medical college faculty and resident doctors. In addition all clinical departments run multiple specialty OPDs in their respective discipline for effective patient segregation and better patient care.
Casualty and emergency services
A modernized casualty / Emergency medicine department equipped with round the clock doctors and paramedical staff serves as a first point of contact for critically ill patients brought to the hospital and ensures immediatetreatment.
IPD services
IPD services include a wide range of patient accommodations depending on the criticality of illness ranging from general wards to intensive care units to deliver highest level of care and comfort. All IPD patients are provided with meals according to their nutritional requirement as advised by the dietician.
The hospital has a state of the art Operation Theatre complex, a dialysis centre and various well equipped intensive care units (ICCU, SICU, OICU, PICU and NICU) with presence of doctors and paramedical staff round the clock to offer highest level of healthcare.
Support services
Diagnostic Laboratoryservices (including NABL accredited Virology Laboratory) and Radiology services ensure that all diagnostic modalities are offered under one roof for the convenience of patients,
