The strength of K. J. Somaiya Medical College lies in its team of teaching staff members spread over various departments. They act not only as teachers but also as mentors, guiding the students in their medical journey. The medical education technology cell established by the college is entrusted with the responsibility of continuously fine tuning the teaching skills of the staff members. It conducts periodic faculty development workshops  for teachers to introduce and popularize newer concepts in teaching-learning philosophy. This ensures that the teachers present the subject matter using appropriate teaching formats and audiovisual aids so that students grasp and retain the concepts that they learn during their academic sessions.
